Designers don’t just need creativity, they also need the skills to channel that creativity in a practical and commercial way.



So while your artistic talent is important, you will also need to add some technique to succeed. Computer assisted drafting and design (often called CAD) is used by most drafters and designers these days and plays a major part in design activities from buildings to greetings cards. A degree program in design will add computer design skills to a training in traditional drafting skills and prepare you to compete in the design job market.
