America thrives on small business and entrepreneurship. As America was growing, people from across the globe saw it as a land of opportunity. Many immigrated to the U.S., started small businesses, and watched them grow and prosper. These people saw that they could move socially upward without having to be a part of some aristocratic family, or wealthy club. Today, just like in America’s past, small businesses are still the lifeblood of America’s economy. Given the technology boom of the 1990’s, many small businesses were created that provided more efficiency through technology. Many of these companies thrived and created wealth for their owners.
