The travel, tourism, and hospitality industries rise and fall along with the rest of the economy. At a high throughout the Internet boom of the 1990’s, they all fell sharply with the terrorist attacks in 2002. These industries have recently picked up, and money again is being made again. The industries have begun to work together to create package deals for the consumer. A consumer can now go to a travel agent and pay one lump sum for an all-inclusive vacation, including all travel, lodging, food, and local expertise. These vacation packages benefit both the buyer and seller, because the seller can reap higher margins while the buyer can budget their vacations more easily.
