While it used to be the case that construction managers rose from the ranks of seasoned craft workers or supervisors, employers nowadays, large construction firms in particular, seek to recruit people who can offer both industry experience and a bachelor’s degree in construction or a construction related field.

A degree program will cover a wide range of subjects including project management, construction methods, contract administration, and general business and computer skills.
