A lead teacher is a teacher who has special responsibility for a subject area in a school, and who will effectively be the person who makes policy for the teaching and presentation for the whole school. This position is one that can give great satisfaction, as you will be making a reputation for the school in your particular subject, and can be seen as being the motivating force in your subject area.
