Legal Secretary Degrees
The demand for legal administrative assistants is rising, because there is a move in the legal industry to make sure that the routine tasks of a lawyer’s work are carried out by other people, under the lawyer’s supervision. This means that a legal administrative assistant will deal with much of the administration that was formerly carried out by lawyers, such as record keeping, scheduling and recording client activity, and making court and other appointments.

Legal administrative assistants need to be properly trained, not only in the administration that they will be undertaking, but also in some of the background knowledge of the work that is undertaken by a legal firm. This training is often in the form of a one year course, leading to a diploma, or a two year associate’s degree. If this is the career of your choice, you should start looking at courses now.
