Pharmacy Technician Degrees
You can help meet the growing demand for certified pharmacy technicians. There are jobs waiting to be filled in hospitals, senior care homes, clinics, and in the neighborhood drug store. The pharmacy technician is the licensed pharmacist’s right hand. The technician assists in preparing prescriptions, mixing special compounds and in monitoring the dispensing of a wide variety of drugs. The pharmacy technician takes care of stocking, ordering and packaging medications, keeping track of drug changes and maintaining inventories. As a pharmacy technician, you’ll learn basic chemistry, pharmaceutical terminology, pharmacy record keeping and the preparation of prescription and non-prescriptions medicines.
