Almost every aspect of physical healing at some point requires physical therapy. After long stays in hospitals, patients need to learn how to literally get back on their feet. Or, patients with chronic pain are urged to take a deeper understanding of how their body works so that they may modify behavior to alleviate the pain and not just pop pills. Any of these treatments are the realm of the physical therapist. But you can’t just become a therapist. Governments, rightfully so, compel you to become certified, to understand the basics as well as get informed of the latest trends and technologies. A physical therapy degree prepares you for these requirements, teaching you a practice as old as time, but also increasingly relied on to solve the medical problems of today and the future.
