Welding is a time-honored trade that hasn’t changed a whole lot of the last several years. Welders will always be needed to heat and, bend, and mold metal into different shapes and sizes. Repair jobs on buildings, cars, or anything build of metal ensures the need for welders long into the future. Those looking to become welders can learn the trade at a number of different technical or vocational schools throughout the country. At most, a degree in welding will probably take no more that two years. Throughout this learning period, students are shown the various techniques and are given a lot of hands on experience. Some programs also place students in the workplace as assistants, apprentices, or interns.
